Remembering Sam.

Sam, the three time title winner of The World’s Ugliest Dog has sadly passed away. The one-eyed, three-legged pedigreed Chinese crested battled cancer for years and after news of heart failure, Sam’s owner Lockheed had him euthanized. Lockheed shares that she was originally terrified of her little creature when she adopted him over six years ago. I guess those beautiful puppy eyes finally won her over, enough so that her boyfriend at the time of the adoption broke up with her. 

“I don’t think there’ll ever be another Sam,” Susie Lockheed said, adding: “Some people would think that’s a good thing.”

Susie Lockheed is a special person. Cause all it would take is Sam jumping on my bed to play in the middle of the night and he’d have to go. I could not invite a gremlin on all fours into my house.
